SOFTWARE OVERVIEW Blazing Aces is a fast paced, top down, action game. The player can choose among several pilots and aircrafts and see them evolve through various missions. Issue flight commands and see your aircrafts follow your every move. Collect scrap and upgrade your inventory to bring carnage to the world. Keywords Casual Fast paced action Customization PROJECT SETUP This game projects was done together with Microsoft, who acted as client and publisher  towards us. Meaning that we had to deliver a product that will met Microsofts list of requirements and standards. For this particular project, we had to have to create a family friendly, fast paced action game that would work on several platforms, including PC and tablets. A group of 5 people (2 designers and 3 artists) 7 weeks development time using Unity. Working weekly milestones and deliver results each week.
MY RESPONSIBLITIES vFX and shaders 3D modeling props and environment Texturing environment and menu Placing art in level ARTISTIC DIRECTION Our main inspiration came from Miyazaki Hayao’s movies, his playfulness with the character and environment. We wanted the feeling of the 40’s combined with old acient technology. To make the player’s airplane distinct from the enemies, we choose to have a classical airplane look in the silhouette with a more colorful texture palette. The enemies have darker color palette with one or two string colors. The design is made to look like ancient machinery insect but with a futuristic design and effects.
